The SX2442FX Eurodesk - Behringer's 24-Channel Mixer

The Behringer SX2442FX Eurodesk is a professional, 24-Channel mixing desk. The versatile SX2442FX features 16 microphone channels - each fitted with XENYX preamps. The SX2442FX comes complete with all the bells and whistles including a nine-band graphic equaliser with automatic feedback detection, two built-in digital effects processors and four subgroup bus outputs. The Behringer SX2442FX follows a conventional layout which makes the mixer easy to grasp and quick to master. The affordable Behringer SX2442FX is ideal for both studio recordings and live performance mixing.

The Behringer SX2442FX contains a built-in 24-bit effects processor with standard effects such as compressors, reverbs and delays. The effects processor contains some dynamic processors and enhancers such as Ultramizer, Ultrabass and Exciter, in addition to studio effects such as pitch-shifting, flanging and chorus. The SX2442FX includes FBQ, a simple but intuitive feedback detection unit. With FQB activated any problem bands will be shown on the 7-band master EQ with a lit LED. Feedback can then be fixed by adjusting the relevant EQ until the LED dims.

The Behringer SX2442FX has enough channels to handle anything from a pub band to a small orchestra. The Behringer SX2442FX features 24 microphone channels, and an additional eight line inputs arranged in stereo pairs. In addition to the 24 true input channels, the SX2442FX Eurodesk gives you four subgroups for assigning group inputs to a single fader.

The Behringer SX2442FX’s 24 microphone channels contain the highly-regarded, low-noise XENYL pre-amps that produce a clear and precise sound. This combines well with the distinct configuration of the SX2442FX’s “British” EQ. Based on the classic UK consoles of the 60’s and 70's British EQ is designed to be a subtler EQ with wider curves that produces a less mechanical and more musical sound. Phantom power is also available globally on all 24 channels.

is a behringer eurodesk sl2442-pro worth 45 dollars?

ok, so im looking on craigslist and this guy is selling the above mentioned model of behringer mixer for 45 dollars. he says the only problem with it is the left main out is not functioning. does it sound like a good idea to buy this?

Wow - I had the same mixer and it had the same problem. I gave it to some teenagers who use it in their basement now. Behringers are great mixers but they do not last too long.

It is definitely worth 45 bucks - you can have a lot of fun with it and learn a lot about mixers. It has some nice effects too.

If you learn how to use that mixer (every knob), you can handle pretty much any mixer.
